Emma Wightman
is a fully registered Osteopath. She is registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) which is responsible
for regulating the profession. Osteopaths must comply with the regulations of the council in order to be accepted
onto the register. This process was started in May 2000, ensuring only those entered on the register can call themselves an
Osteopath. Visit www.osteopathy.org.uk for further information.
Emma graduated
from the British
School of Osteopathy in 1997 and since then has worked in practices in London and Winchester. She has
continued to attend conferences and seminars and is developing an interest in the treatment of pregnancy related conditions,
babies and children.
Emma
is also undertaking training to become an National Childbirth Trust (NCT) antenatal teacher to teach couples about pregnancy,
birth and the postnatal period. This complements her work as an Osteopath and is now able to advise on these areas.
